Youtube reflection challanges and small wins

Youtube reflection: challanges and small wins

If you didn’t know already, I recently started a youtube channel, something which is way out of my comfort zone. It’s been two months since I posted my first video. To begin I was very nervous and uncomfortable in front of the camera. So this post is just to reflect on this new journey, because I love retrospectives and being grateful for the little wins.

One of the things I love about my blog is that I feel like I’m already finding my voice and feeling comfortable in what I love to create, which is creating content that is focused on our wellness and finding joy in the simplest things in life.

If you haven’t explored my blog already, please have a look around, I hope you find something that you can resonate with or at least feel inspired or encouraged.

When I started my youtube channel this blog was the basic foundation that I had hoped to create on. But as we all know every new journey comes with challenges we’ve never faced before.

Challenges

One of the main things I have had to overcome since starting youtube is fear. Fear comes in various forms and shapes. Starting youtube came with it’s fair shares of fear and insecurities. And one thing that has helped me to  feel the fear and do it anyway is reading and listening to inspirational content and practising positive affirmations. So here are my favorite affirmations when it comes to fear:

Positive Affirmations for overcoming fear

  • I believe in myself and my capabilities
  • I’m confident and I have nothing to fear
  • I only fail if I don’t try
  • I can do anything I put my mind to
  • I’m confident and I have nothing to fear

Also I still struggle with positioning my camera to capture more than my head lol. Have owned my camera for about 4 years but when it comes to video making it seems that I have only owned it for two months.

Another major challenge I have had to face is  channeling my creativity in a unique way that creates value and reflects my personality.

When I joined youtube my hope was to be able to add value by creating simple, mindful and inspirational content as I have done with this blog. And because of that I will be trying different ways of expressing this so as to make my youtube channel a place filled with mindful, encouraging and motivational content.

Obviously this is not going to be easy. I know it’s going to take trial, practice, mistakes, failures and hard work for me to find the best way to express myself and share valuable content with you.

So as I try to find a unique way to share a part of my creativity and enjoy the beautiful little joys of life I hope that you, join me, feel inspired and motivated.

Congratulations! It is difficult to step out of your comfort zone, but once you’ve made that first step, everything will fall into place. I admire you and I wish I will someday have the confidence to start a youtube channel too.

Starting a Youtube channel can definitely be daunting especially if you’re shy and not used to oversharing like other vloggers. I wish you all the best! It’s scary but exciting!

Your cottage is beautiful. We always need more people who are motivating and encouraging others to be positive.

Starting a Youtube channel is a great accomplishment. I also started uploading on Youtube this year and it is definitely overwhelming, but it’s also awesome to see yourself grow and be able to connect with others.
